The Process

3D ANIMATION
The Process
3D animation is the process of creating computer-generated graphics to create a video from scratch. There are 3 distinct parts of creating a video:
PRE-PRODUCTION
We establish the idea, style, scope, and budget of your project. This will be about a 30% of the time budget.
POST-PRODUCTION
We take all of the assets that we have created and put them together into the final video. This tends to be about 20% of your time budget.
To make this a little easier to digest, let's break down a 3D animated video and see how it all actually happened.

Pre-Production

STEP 1
Pre-Production Meeting
We start by sitting down and getting to know you. We ask questions about what makes your company unique and valuable, establish project timelines, and dictate the priorities. This could be one meeting or several, depending on the project.
Production

STEP 1
3D Animatic / Layout Pass
In the layout pass, or 3D animatic, we show the camera angles, created assets, and pacing of what will be on screen, potentially with VERY rough animation of movement.
Post-Production

STEP 1
Composite
We put together the 3D animated pieces with any other visual elements to complete the final picture.
